Repair Method of Leakage of Aluminum Alloy Radiator

The first step: write down the leaking parts and quickly close the group of heating valves

The first step: write down the leaking parts and quickly close the group of heating valves

In general, each group of radiator inlet and return pipe and radiator connection has a lock valve, used for repair or maintenance to shut off the group of radiator. Assuming that a certain group of radiator leakage is large, the control valve of the leaking radiator should be found, and the valve should be rotated clockwise until it cannot be turned to stop, thus turning off the group of radiators.

The second step: emergency heating

If the leaking aluminum alloy radiator is turned off, the room temperature will quickly decrease, and it will soon be lower than the national standard minimum temperature requirement of 16-18 degrees. Assuming that you still want to live in this room, you should adopt emergency heating measures, such as electric heating, air conditioning, adding clothes or bedding, to avoid freezing cold.

Step 3: Analyze the cause of water leakage and repair or replace it in time

Check the specific location and location of the aluminum alloy radiator leakage, and adopt different repair measures to ensure safe and reliable heating

1. Assuming that there is water leakage at the radiator interface, you can consider replacing the radiator live connection, or adding fine hemp rope to wind from the beginning to add sealing. Assuming that the radiator plug bursts, you need to replace the plug or fill the core.

2. As for cast iron radiator, assuming that there is water leakage at the joint of the pair of wires, please ask the manufacturer or professional plumber to replace the pair of wires or gaskets. It is not necessary to replace the whole group of radiators.

3. As for the steel radiator, it is assumed that the radiator has water leakage caused by sand holes. Only the radiator needs to be replaced, and other radiator can be used.

4. Water leakage of aluminum alloy, aluminum radiator or copper radiator is usually due to age or corrosion. As long as there is a water leakage point, it is necessary to replace a group of newly processed radiators. It is best not to repair welding.

5. For radiators installed after repair from scratch, they must be suppressed and tested from scratch to ensure that they do not leak.
